We see that Triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle which means:

  • Sides BA and BC are equal in length
  • Angle BAC and BCA are equal

We see that Angle BCD and Angle BCA are on a straight line, which means that both of the angles' measures are equal to 180 degrees

    --> in equation form:

              Angle BCD + Angle BCA = 180

                118 + Angle BCA = 180

                         Angle BCA = 62 degrees

Since Angle BCA and BAC are equal, then <u>Angle BAC or Angle A in this case is 62 degrees</u>

<u></u>

Hope that helps!

Answer:

  D  (7, 0.5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equations must be interpreted to be ...

  • y = -1/2x +4
  • y = 1/2x -3

A graph shows the solution to be (7, 0.5), matching selection D.

___

You can add the two equations together to get ...

  (y) +(y) = (-1/2x +4) + (1/2x -3)

  2y = 1 . . . . . simplify

  y = 1/2 . . . . .divide by 2

It can be convenient to use the second equation to find x.

  1/2 = 1/2x - 3

  1 = x - 6 . . . . . . multiply by 2

  7 = x . . . . . . . . . add 6

The solution is (x, y) = (7, 0.5). . . . . matches selection D.

The Capacity of a 1 cm cube is 1 mL. How many 1 cm ice cubes do you need to melt to fill a 1.5 L jar.
Svetach [21]

1500 ice cubes need to fill 1.5 L jar

Solution:

1 cm = 1 ml

Capacity of ice cube = 1 cm

                                   = 1 ml

Capacity of jar = 1.5 L

1 L = 1000 ml

1.5 L = 1.5 × 1000

       = 1500 ml

Capacity of jar = 1500 ml

$\text{Number of ice cubes} =\frac{\text{Capacity of ice cube}}{\text{Capacity of jar}}

                                $=\frac{1500}{1}

                                = 1500

Therefore 1500 ice cubes need to fill 1.5 L jar.
