It is estimated from the body every three hours.
- The liver can typically break down one ounce of alcohol (or one standard drink) in one hour.
- More than this will cause your system to get satiated, which will cause the extra alcohol to build up in your blood and body tissues until it can be digested.

Which of the following factors might impede the absorption of alcohol?

- Always consume meals before alcohol, especially protein-rich foods. The digestion of alcohol will be slowed down if you eat. Without eating, a person's BAC will peak between half an hour and two hours after drinking.
- Alcoholic beverages with carbonation speed up the rate of alcohol absorption. This is due to the pressure inside the stomach and small intestine, which causes alcohol to enter the circulation more quickly.

The Philadelphia campaign (1777–1778) was a British effort in the American Revolutionary War to gain control of Philadelphia, which was then the seat of the Second Continental Congress. British General William Howe, after failing to draw the Continental Army under General George Washington into a battle in northern New Jersey, embarked his army on transports, and landed them at the northern end of Chesapeake Bay. From there, he advanced northward toward Philadelphia. Washington prepared defenses against Howe's movements at Brandywine Creek, but was flanked and beaten back in the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777. After further skirmishes and maneuvers, Howe entered and occupied Philadelphia. Washington then unsuccessfully attacked one of Howe's garrisons at Germantown before retreating to Valley Forge for the winter.
Well, if you are talking about guns as in firearms, and how they work, it is actually pretty interesting.
Lets take a Glock-18 for example. It's hammer is internal. With a more common pistol, the m1911 for example, the hammer is external. A bullet is made up of three parts. The shell (cartrage), the gunpowder (known as black powder), and the bullet (the projectile, usually lead). The gunpowder goes inside the shell, then the bullet is attached to the top. When the hammer of a gun hits a pin, which hits the back of the bullet, the spark ignites the gunpowder and the combustion caused the bullet to fly out of the gun. The shell is then disposed of (usually out of the side or top of the gun). The same principal works with ar-15's or m4-a1's. The hammer is internal in those guns, and the hammer automatically goes back from the kick of the explosion (inside the bullet its self). There is a piston along the barrel, and when the bullet flies through the barrel, the air pressure goes in the piston, and it is enough force to cause the slide to go fully back, and then eject the shell at the same time it loads another round.
