Answer:

Well, this is what I believe about people settling in different countries! (In General)

Explanation:

- People might settle in different countries due to huge populations and they need to expand because not everyone can live in the country that they are in.

- Wars are a huge cause of expanding and settling outside countries and when there are conflicts, people have fears of the government, rebels, or anyone involved in the war, and so they move to settle in another country.

- Famines because if a lot of people are poor and if they do not have a lot of money then they will move somewhere else to start over and have a job that can get them earning a lot more money.

- If huge bombings, massacres, rebellions, attacks, threats or safety, riots, or any sort of violence can make someone want to get away from where they live because no one wants to get hurt or be in danger!

- Finally... Harsh Governments. If a country's government is harsh and uptight on people by not allowing them to have freedom or civil rights, then people will settle in another place to live freely and their rights would be preserved meaning no one can take them away, not even a president can take them away.

I suggest you research the history of Maldives and why people settled there since I haven't studied about it if I am being honest! But other than that, I hope these reasons helped!

remains in dispute to this day.
