Sharon has at most $25 to spend on her sister's birthday gift. She already bought a knitting machine for her, which cost $14.99.

She would also like to get her sister some skeins of yarn to go with it. Each skein costs $2.75. Write an inequality to represent this problem. Use y to represent the number of skeins of yarn. What is the most number of skeins Sharon can afford to buy? Justify your answer in two or more complete sentences.

25 - 14.99 = 10.01

10.01 divided by 2.75 = 3.64.

Sharon can get 3 skeins of yarn for her sister.

Since after the knitting machine, she is only
left with approximately $10 that leaves her able to get 3 skeins of yard with change left over. Since 3 skeins would cost 8.25, that would only leave Sharon with $1.75. Which would not be enough to buy another skein

\bf \textit{area of a triangle}\\\\ A=\cfrac{1}{2}bh~~ \begin{cases} b=base\\ h=height\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ A=\frac{2}{5}\\ h=\frac{6}{5} \end{cases}\implies \cfrac{2}{5}=\cfrac{1}{2}b\left( \cfrac{6}{5} \right)\implies \cfrac{2}{5}=\cfrac{6b}{10}\implies \cfrac{2}{5}=\cfrac{3b}{5} \\\\\\ 10=15b\implies \stackrel{\textit{dividing both sides by 15}}{\cfrac{10}{15}=\cfrac{15b}{15}}\implies \cfrac{10}{15}=b\implies \cfrac{2}{3}=b

Suppose that you know that angle T and angle S are supplementary, and that m angle T = 8 · (m angle S). Complete the explanation
Ira Lisetskai [31]

Answer:

well, a supplementary angle is two angles that sum up to 180 degrees. If one angle is 8, then the other angle would be found by using 180-8=? Or ?+8=180. Because of this, the other angle would equal 172
