Distance between p and a, PA is twice as distance between p and b, PB. a(â’2, 6, 3), b(5, 2, â’1), PA = 2PB
Square root of [(x + 2)^2 + (y - 6)^2 + (z - 3)^2] = 2 x Square root of [(x - 5)^2
+ (y - 2)^2 + (z + 1)^2]
 Removing the square roots,
  [(x + 2)^2 + (y - 6)^2 + (z - 3)^2] = 4[(x - 5)^2 + (y - 2)^2 + (z + 1)^2]
 x^2 + y^2 + z^2 + 4x - 12y - 6z + 4 + 36 + 9 = 4(x^2 + y^2 + z^2 - 10x - 4y +
2z + 25 + 4 +1)
 x^2 + y^2 + z^2 + 4x - 12y - 6z + 49 = 4x^2 + 4y^2 + 4z^2 - 40x -16y + 8z +
120
Hence the equation of sphere = 3x^2 + 3y^2 + 3z^2 - 44x - 4y + 14z + 71

Can someone explain to me how to solve inequalities with variables on both sides
Stolb23 [73]
First, apply the distributive property to the left side of the inequality. Multiply each of the two numbers inside the parentheses by 6 and then add those products. Next, subtract -24 from both sides. Then, to get \begin{align*}x\end{align*} by itself on one side of the inequality, you need to divide both sides by 6.

As an estimation we are told £3 is €4.
hram777 [196]

Answer:

From the estimation,

£10.7 = €14.27

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the conversion rate between the pounds and the euro currencies, we are to convert an amount in pounds to euros

From the estimate;

3 pounds = 4 euros

Thus;

10.7 pounds = x euros

We are using x since the value in euros is not known presently.

To move from here, we simply cross multiply.

That would give;

3 * x = 4 * 10.7

3x = 42.8

x = 42.8/3

x = 14.2666

x = €14.27
