Alkali metals are likely to lose electrons to form cations because they only have one valence electron, which makes it easiest to lose.

How many moles of coF3 are produced when 1.25 moles of 3co reacts
oee [108]

Answer:

1.25 moles

Explanation:

First, we need to balance the equation. Essentially, this means making sure we have the same number of each atom on each side.

On the left side, we currently have:

- 1 Co atom

- 2 F aomts

On the right side, we have:

- 1 Co atom

- 3 F atoms

To balance it, add a 2 to Co on the left, 3 to F2 on the left, and 2 to CoF3 on the right:

2Co+3F_2 → 2CoF_3

Now, we have 1.25 moles of Co, and since the ratio between Co and CoF3 is 1:1, we also have 1.25 moles of CoF3.

Thus, the answer is 1.25 moles.

What is the difference in electronegativity of each bond for both formaldehyde and ammonia?
Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

The chemical formula of Formaldehyde is H₂CO and the structural formula is attached below,

The chemical formula of Ammonia is NH₃ and the structural formula is attached below,

FORMALDEHYDE:

As shown in structure, there are two different types of bonds in formaldehyde,

        (i) C-H Bond

        (ii) C-O Bond

So the electronegativity difference of these bonds are,

(i) C-H Bond

           Electronegativity of Carbon      =  2.5

           Electronegativity of Hydrogen  =  2.1

                                                               _______

           Electronegativity Difference  =       0.4 (non-polar bond)

(ii) C-O Bond

           Electronegativity of Oxygen      =  3.5

           Electronegativity of Carbon       =  2.5

                                                               _______

Electronegativity Difference  =       1.0   (polar bond)

AMMONIA:

As shown in structure, there is one type of bond in ammonia, and that is N-H bond

So the electronegativity difference in this bond is,

N-H Bond

           Electronegativity of Nitrogen      =  3.0

           Electronegativity of Hydrogen    =  2.1

                                                               _______

Electronegativity Difference  =        0.9   (polar bond)

13) How many moles of CH3NH2 can be produced<br> from 24 moles of N2?
8090 [49]

Answer:

To answer this question we would need the Molecular empirical formula that relates the reactant of N2 to the final product of CH3NH2. Then it would be easily solved by using stoichiometric ratios. Basically it is done similar to unit conversion problems.
