Answer:

SMALLEST TO GREATEST

102 mm --> 125 mm --> 10.4 cm --> 0.12 m.

Explanation:

Millimeters (mm) is smaller than centimeters (cm). Centimeters are smaller than meters (m).

And, since both 125 mm and 102 mm has the same units of measurement, 125>102.

So, 102 goes in front of 125.

And then the rest of the order is completed by comparing the units of measurement.

I hope it helps!! :D

Algebra tiles to prove that 4 + 8x and 4(2x+1)
Dafna1 [17]
Not sure what algebra tiles are

not sure how to absolutely prove
I can prove it works at least most of the time by subsitute ing number for x

remember that 0,1,2 have special properties and are not very good for subsituting so
try 4
4+8(4)=4(2(4)+1)
true or false?
4+8(4)=4(2(4)+1)
multipily
4+32=4(8+1)
36=4(9)
36=36
this is treu at least for the number 4
another way is to believe in the distributive property where
a(b+c)=ab+ac so then
4(2x+1)=4(2x)+4(1)=8x+4=4+8x

Consider the following polynomial functions.
f(a) = (2a - 7 + a?) and g(a) = (5 – a).
mote1985 [20]

Answer:

1 false

2 true

3 true

4 false

5 true

Step-by-step explanation:

f(a) = (2a - 7 + a^2) and g(a) = (5 – a).

1 false f(a) is a second degree polynomial and g(a) is a first degree polynomial

When added together, they will be a second degree polynomial

2. true When we add and subtract polynomials, we still get a polynomial, so it is closed under addition and subtraction

3.  true  f(a) + g(a) = (2a - 7 + a^2) + (5 – a)

Combining like terms = a^2 +a -2

4.  false   f(a) - g(a) = (2a - 7 + a^2) - (5 – a)

Distributing the minus sign (2a - 7 + a^2) - 5 + a

Combining like terms  a^2 +3a -12

5.  true  f(a)* g(a)  = (2a - 7 + a^2)  (5 – a).

Distribute

                       (2a - 7 + a^2)  (5)  – (2a - 7 + a^2)  (a)

                        10a -35a +5a^2 -2a^2 -7a +a^3

Combining like term

-a^3 + 3 a^2 + 17 a - 35
