The step of protein synthesis missed by Stella would be the translation of mRNA into amino acids.

The process of protein synthesis can essentially be divided into 2, namely:

 1. Transcription
 2. Translation

During transcription, genetic information on DNA is transcribed into mRNA. Once this is done, the genetic codes in mRNA are then translated to their respective amino acids and linked by peptide bonds.

The polypeptide bond undergoes further processing such as folding in the endoplasmic reticulum.

Thus, before amino acids can form a polypeptide chain, they must first be translated from genetic codes in mRNA.

Huntington’s disease: Huntington’s disease is a disease in which certain parts of the brain waste away; symptoms usually begin l
neonofarm [45]

Answer:

Regarding Huntington's disease, it can be said that it is an inherited disease with an autosomal dominant character, so it is enough that one of the children inherits one of these characters to manifest this neurodegenerative disease, it is considered that the pattern is usually 50% of the total of children of sick parents can suffer it, however if both parents are carriers the number rises leading to 100% of the children affected, on the contrary if no parent has the dominant gene and are homozygous recessive, neither your children will suffer the disease

The possibilities are the following:

Parent 1, inheritance pattern: Hh * hh, the possible gametes for this cross-linking are H, H, h, h, offspring; Hh, Hh, hh, hh 50% of the children could be sick

Parents 2, inheritance pattern: hh * hh, the possible gametes for this cross-linking are h, h, h, h. the offspring will be; hh, hh. no sick child

Parent 3, inheritance pattern: HH * HH, the possible gametes for this cross-linking are H, H, H, H, the offspring will be HH, HH, all children may be sick, 100%

parents 4, inheritance pattern: Hh * Hh, the possible gametes for this cross-linking are h, H, h, H. the descendants will be HH, Hh, Hh, hh 50% of sick children

Parents 5, inheritance pattern: Hh * hh, the possible gametes for this interbreeding are H, h ,, offspring will be Hh all sick children

Parent 6, inheritance pattern: Hh * Hh the possible gametes for this cross-linking are H, h, the descendants will be Hh, the heterozygous descendants will have the disease.

How are seed plants diffrent from nonvascular plants
erma4kov [3.2K]
Nonvascular plants don't have seeds. They reproduce sexually and asexually. Vascular plants have tubes that carry water up the plant and nonvascular don't have that

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

Electroplating involves the coating of one metal on another metal. It is an electrochemical process. The positive electrode is the coating metal while the negative electrode is the metal on which the coating is to be performed.

Since copper is to be coated on an iron nail. A copper plate is made the positive electrode while the iron nail should be the negative electrode.

The electrolyte used in the process should be a copper salt e.g CuSO4 solution.

As electrolysis progresses, the copper electrode(positive electrode or anode) gradually wears away due to the fact that the copper ions are going into the solution and are being deposited on the iron nail.

Generalized defense responses in organs distant from the infection site are called _____.
Alika [10]
For the answer to the question above, the answer is "Systemic Acquired Resistance''.
it is a whole-plant resistance response and it occurs by following an earlier localized exposure to a pathogen. It is analogous to the innate immune system that can be found in the animals, and there is also an evidence that SAR in plants and innate immunity in the animals may be evolutionarily conserved.

kirill115 [55]
Its definitely not A or D because there are 26 weeks in 6 months.

generally, a weight loss of 1-2 lbs per week is reasonable and safe.

I would say B because it is unrealistic that someone would always lose 2lbs a week
