Find a second pair of model homologous chromosomes, one with the L allele and the other with the I allele. Model mitosis for a c
malfutka [58]

After mitosis, two identical diploid cells are formed. In the exposed example, each cell has a chromosome with the L allele and another chromosome carrying the l allele.

Mitosis is a process by which, from a diploid somatic cell (2n), two daughter diploid cells (2n) are produced.

First occurs duplication of the cell content, and then the separation into two new cells happens.

Mitosis occurs in only one phase.

• In the prophase, it occurs chromosomes condensation and nuclear membrane breaks.

• During the metaphase, chromosomes are taken toward the center of the cell by the spindle apparatus. Once in the equatorial plane, chromosomes line up.

Each chromatid joins with a microtubule of opposites poles.

• In Anaphase, chromatid sisters separate. The bonds that were keeping them together break, and each of them migrate to the opposite poles.

• In telophase, duplicated chromosomes are already in the corresponding poles, and the nuclear membrane forms again in each pole.

• Finally, cytokinesis occurs.

In the exposed example, considering only the chrosomomes carrying the L and l alleles, each daughter cell ends with two homologous chromosomes,

 • one of them with the recessive allele
 • the other one with the dominant allele

why did mendel use pea plants in his experiments A. they produced quickly B. they are all male C. they have no alleles D. they a
Papessa [141]

Answer:

They produce quickly

Explanation:

Mendel chose pea plants for his experiments because they are easy to raise, have many offspring per mating, can fertilize themselves and have varieties in genotype and phenotype that are easily observable. These characteristics make pea plants ideal in the study of genetics and heredity.

Explain why it was important to keep on set of seedling in the light
tiny-mole [99]

It was important to keep on set of seedling in the light because seedlings will become fragile and thin and would not produce the healthy stem if no sun light is provided to the seedling.

Explanation:

Seedlings have three parts called hypocotyl, cotyledons and radicle.

The radicle is the downward part responsible for making root system of the plant.

When root is formed and anchored to the ground a shoot emerges from hypocotyl.

The growth of plants depends on the temperature requirement by seedling.

The seedling has to start photosynthesis for growing demands of nutrients of growing plant. The photosynthesis requires sunlight so seedling are always kept in sunlight for the growth and height of the plant.

Temperature and light intensity is a determining factor in the growth seedling and eventually plants.

A photoperiod ( length of light period required by a plant for growth and reproduction) which is less than 14 hours causes stunting in plants.
