The main reason there is a gap between both needing and receiving treatment for addiction is due to:

•Admitting

•Denial

The main reason for the Gap is that  an addict does not  often admit that they are  an addict because of the power of denial.

Admitting occured when a person admit that he is he or she is addict.

Denial occur when the addict denied or refuse to admit or accept that that he or she is an addict.
