The probabilty of an event is always fraction and lies somewhere between 0 and 1. The probability of not being intoxicated is 0.8841.

What is probability?

Probability is the chance that an event will occur. The probabilty of an event is always fraction and lies somewhere between 0 and 1. A probability of zero means that an event can never occur while a probability of 1 implies that the event must surely occur.

The total number of drivers= 41 + 72 + 215 + 647 = 975

Number that wasn't intoxicated = 215 + 647 = 862

probability of not being intoxicated= 862/975 = 0.8841
