The true speed and direction of the football thrown by the quarterback is 30.185 mph and 9⁰ respectively.

Relative velocity of the football

The true speed and direction of the football is determined by applying the concept of relative velocity.

Vr/w = Vb - Vw

where;

  • Vr/w is the velocity of the football with respect to the wind
  • Vb is the velocity of the football
  • Vw is the velocity of the wind

Vr/w = 41 mph - 11 mph = 30 mph

The direction speed can be determined by sketching a triangle

Direction of the speed, θ = (360 - 339) - (180 - 168)

                                       θ = 21 - 12 = 9⁰

Resultant speed;

R² = 41² + 11² - 2(41 x 11 x cos9)

R² = 911.105

R = √911.105

R = 30.185 mph

Thus, the true speed and direction of the football thrown by the quarterback is 30.185 mph and 9⁰ respectively.

Miguel's cat, Chester, weighs 6.8 pounds. Chester's vet tells Miguel to feed the cat 3 4 of an ounce of canned food daily for ea
Vitek1552 [10]

Answer:

0.4 ounces

Step-by-step explanation:

In a day

Miguel is to feed Chester ,

Chester can eat 3/4 of an ounce for each pound of body weight.

Chester weighs 6.8 pounds

Hence:

1 pound = 3/4 ounce

6.8 pounds = x ounces

Cross Multiply

x = 6.8 × (3/4) ounces

x = 5.1 ounces

Chester is to be fed 5.1 ounces of food each day.

The amount of food left after 1 day

= 5.5 ounces - 5.1 ounces

= 0.4 ounces

Hence, 0.4 ounces of food is left after 1 day

Help me please. I really need help
artcher [175]

Answer:

B.  $42.60.

Step-by-step explanation:

On the first day  price is 43.85 + 2.70 = $46.55

second  day       price is 46.55 + 2.70 = $49.25

For the next 2 days it goes down $1.10 so the price is $49.25 - 2.20=$47.05

On the last day it loses $4.45 so the final price is $47.05-4.45 = $42.60.

A cube with a side of 1m was sawn into cubes with a side of 1 cm and then laid in a row (in a straight line). What was the lengt
MrRissso [65]

Answer:

10 km

Step-by-step explanation:

volume of cube = s^3

1 m = 100 cm

volume = s^3 = (1 m)^3 = (100 cm)^3 = 1,000,000 cm^3

Since 1 m^3 = 1,000,000 cm^3, when you lay down the 1-cm cubes in a straight line with the edges touching, the line is 1,000,000 cm long.

1,000,000 cm = 10,000 m = 10 km
