The height of the flagpole is 100 feet.

<h3>What are shadows?</h3>

Shadows are area devoid of light as a result of the obstruction of light by an opaque object.

Analysis:

The length of the shadow and the height of the flagpole are at right angles.

Similarly, the height of the woman and the length of her shadow are at right angles. Making both similar right-angled triangles.

The ratio of the height of the woman to that of pole is equal to ratio of the length of woman's shadow to that of the flagpole.

let length of flagpole be h.

height of woman = 6 feet

length of shadow of woman = 3 feet

length of shadow of pole = 50 feet.

\frac{6}{h} = \frac{3}{50}

3h = 300

h = 100 feet

In conclusion, the height of the flag pole is 100 feet.

Find the area of a sector with a central angle of 120° and a diameter of 7.3 cm. Round to the nearest tenth.
Andru [333]

Answer:14cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

diameter=7.3cm

radius=\frac{diameter}{2}

          =\frac{7.3}{2}

          =3.65cm

angle =120°

area=\frac{angle (tita)}{360} × \frac{\pi r^{2} }{1}

=\frac{120}{360} × \frac{22}{7} ×3.65^{2}

=13.95cm^{2}

≅14cm^{2}

last month john spent 75.00 dollars on games. this month he only spent 63.00. he spent ___ percent less this month
aivan3 [116]
First, subtract 63 from 75 to find out how much it decreased.
75 - 63 = 12
Divide 12 by 75.
12 / 75 = 0.16
In percents, that is 16%.
He spent 16% less this month.
Hope this helps!

What is the value of x to the nearest tenth?<br> 3.1<br> 4.8<br> 5.4<br> 3.5
Tanya [424]

Answer:

5.4

Step-by-step explanation:

I am not really sure about this type of problem, but a diameter has to cross the midpoint of the circle the dark dot and hit two point on both side of the circle. Yet the line 9.6 is not a diameter since it didn't go through the center, so the diameter has to be longer than 9.6. But x is looking for radius. so divide 9.6 by 2 u get 4.8 but that is not a diameter and the real diameter is longer that mean the radius is longer so the only answer is 5.4
