1. Civil war - By conquering other leaders of the Trio, Julius Caesar started a civil war in Rome and became the dictatorship with absolute authority. He battled and beat Pompey, another Roman general.  

2. Triumvirate -  The First Triumvirate had been an informal partnership among three dominant party leaders in the late Roman Republic.

3. Gaul - Julius Caesar was granted the title of the wide area of Gaul in 58 B.C., in which he instructed a large army.

4. Absolute rule - Julius Caesar was a great military commander, which helped him acquire power, and when he was killed, civil war broke out. Caesar ruled as an absolute monarch.

5. Reforms - Julius Caesar's administrative reforms centered on the construction of physical monuments, the reconstruction of towns and temples, and the improvement of the Senator, Rome's major ruling body.

6. Marcus Brutus and Gaius Cassius - Marcus Brutus is a Roman commander who appears in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar as one of the assassins.

Gaius Cassius is Julius Caesar's commander and long-time comrade, yet Gaius Cassius is envious of Julius Caesar's authority.
