Kevin claims he can draw a trapezoid with three right angles. Is this possible? Explain.
MakcuM [25]
Using an indirect proof:

Assume that the figure is a trapezoid.
All trapezoids are quadrilaterals.
All quadrilaterals' interior angles add up to 360° because any n-gon's interior angles add up to 180(n-2)°.
We are given that the trapezoid has three right angles.
All right angles are 90°, thus these right angles have a total measure of 270°.
We can conclude fourth angle must be 90°.
If it has four right angles, it is a rectangle.
Rectangles have two sets of parallel sides.
However, trapezoids have exactly one set of parallel sides.
Alas, our figure cannot be a trapezoid.

The probability can be modeled using the following formula:
P(X =3)
wherein X follows the density
P(X=k)=\frac{1.7^ke^{-1.7}}{k!}
Now for k = 3 we get:
P(X=3)=\frac{1.7^3e^{-1.7}}{3!}=0.15
The probability we are looking for is 0.15.

Why aren’t credit cards included in m1 or m2 definition of money?
mel-nik [20]

Credit cards are not considered to be part in the m1 and m2 definition of money. Because the M1 definition of money revolves around money which are in the hands of the public and written checks, while the M2 definition of money revolves around savings accounts, time deposits of under $100,000, and balances in retail money market mutual funds. Which also includes the M1 in the M2. While, the M3 definition of money refers to the balances in institutional money funds, repurchase accountabilities dispensed by depository establishments, and the Eurodollar. It also includes M1 and M2. Credit cards are not considered to be in M1 and M2 definitions of money, since credit cards becomes part of the money transaction only, during the payment of your credit card bill.
