Yeah its safe if the meds they are taking are from the doctor. You dont need both they are both safe. This is coming from someone who has done both they both help.

Personally, I think that therapy gets very personal at times, some people would rather see a recovery without having to open up about their issues with a person who they likely do not know. They might either have a hard time opening up, feel uncomfortable, some people don’t even believe in therapy! There’s that one saying “What good will talking do?” some people really have that mentality! So they deal with their issues with meds.

I feel Schizophrenia could be best treated with behaviourism.By this therapy the harmful behaviour due to psychological trauma of the patient could be avoided. Neurobiology would in no way be of help to these patients.This problem cannot be solved with a research on anatomy as it is a problem of mind. Counselling can help a lot.
