5 reasons softball is good for your heath
PtichkaEL [24]
1. Burns calories and fat: The average player burns around 300 calories per hour of play.
2. You can develop both your upper and lower body when playing softball. Throwing requires you to use your shoulders and arms, which gives the muscles in that area a workout. Moreover, when you swing and pitch, your wrists and biceps along with other muscles in your arms develop.
3. Builds endurance and stamina over time. This will give you the energy to work out in addition to playing softball. You can really build your strength by lifting weights or performing other workouts with weight. In addition, the added stamina and endurance will ensure you don’t tire easily.
4. Softball players gain throwing power and acceleration power. A base in overall body strength and maximal strength is also important; it serves as a foundation to build muscular power. Some muscular endurance is also beneficial, especially for pitchers.
5. Provides total body conditioning: Unlike other sports, softball is an activity that requires multiple skills, and therefore provides total body conditioning. Running, swinging, fielding and throwing all require a coordinated effort from numerous muscles throughout the body.
