You set out to observe the symbiotic relationship between a species of orchid and a species of fly. This species of orchid is on

ly pollinated by this one species of fly, and the flies seem to prefer that orchid over any other flower for its nectar supply. Identify and describe two reasons for the proximate causation for the species-specific preference of this fly. Select one of the reasons and make a prediction on the outcome on species-specific preference of the fly. Justify your prediction with evidence

The two reasons for the proximate causation for the species-specific preference of this fly include:

 • Nectar
 • Color

What is Symbiosis?

This is described as the interaction between two dissimilar organisms which in this case is between the orchid and fly.

The color of the orchid is bright which attracts the fly to it thereby resulting in pollination. This is because they come in contact with the anther which contains the pollen grains.

aleksandrvk [35]
Yes he can.
If he was just neutered today:
Leash walks only so he can urinate and defecate. If he runs around he risks breaking sutures/glue.
If he was neutered a few days ago:
Also leash walks only until sutures fully healed
