Answer:

Pa: list A Pb: 0.18 Pc: orange

Step-by-step explanation:

When A was added, it made 142

When B was added, it made 131

142 > 131

So part one is A

since it's theoretical, it would be 1/6

1/6 = 0.18

So part 2 is 0.18

I know it is orange bc orange was 24

So part 3 is orange

Can someone please give me a pathway or roadmap in order to study statistics?
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

So to learn statistics, you need to know what is a statistic and how you should solve it

Statistic: (What to do)

1) Collection of data

2) Presentation of data

3) Analysis of data

4) Interpetation of data

The most common things in statistics are, Mean (average), Mode, (most frequent), Median, (The middle), range (the calculation of the greatest-the least to find data spread).

If you don’t have 1 step in the 4 steps listed, you would have a hard time figuring things out

So collection of data is basically gathering your information

Presentation is when you finished gathering and you have to present them, be sure to find median, mode and range. It has to be from greatest to least

The analysis Is if you got it correct, check your median or mean to see if its about the same thing, check range to see if the spread* is about even

The spread of the data can be found by solving the range, if you get a high number and its not even close to most of the numbers, then you know something is wrong or maybe there is an outlier

And finally the interpretation, you did everything, but can you read it, can you read the median or average and get a general idea? Can you read the graph?

the road map would be like

1) Introduction to mean median and mode

2) Introduction Pt2, range, outlier

3) Learnign to find the 5 common things fluently

4) Introduction to IQR (Inner quartile range)  (not used much but could be useful in special cases)

5) finding Q1 and Q3 and knowing how to plot a box and whiskers plot (basically pt 2 to IQR)

6) Leanring to plot fluently

7) Different graphs introduction (Histograms, line plot, number plot, a graph)

8) Learning to find spread (deeper range understanding)

9) All in all practice

(This is what I would think if I were to teach statistics)

What's the probability you roll the same number twice on a regular dice?
jekas [21]
1/6 because the first number that you roll doesn't matter so it depends on the 2nd roll, in which the probability of rolling a specific number is 1/6

How do you find the median of a data set when you have an even number of values?
natima [27]

Answer:

If there is an even number of numbers, the median is the average of the two numbers in the middle.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the median of any set of numbers, put them in order from smallest to greatest. If a number occurs more than once, list it more than once. The number in the middle is the median. If there is an even number of numbers, the median is the average of the two numbers in the middle. For your first example, we line them up: 3, 6, 6.
