The equation of the line in slope-intercept form and standard form that passes through the line are y = -5 / 6x - 43 / 6 and 5x + 6y = -43 respectively.

Slope intercept equation

The Slope intercept equation is use to represent a linear table or graph. Therefore, the formula is represented as follows

y = mx + b

where

m = slope

b = y-intercept

Hence,

(-5, -3)(1, -8)

m = -8 + 3 / 1 + 5 = - 5 / 6

Using (1, -8) let's find b

-8 = -5 / 6 (1) + b

-8 + 5 / 6 = b

-48 + 5/6 = b

b = -43 / 6

Therefore, the slope intercept equation is y = -5 / 6x - 43 / 6

The equation in standard form is represented as Ax + By = C. Therefore,

y + 5 / 6 x = - 43/6

5x + 6y = -43

It cost Hudson $28.20 to send 188 text messages. How much would it cost to send 63 text messages? Good luck!
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

$9.45

Step-by-step explanation:

1. First, you want to figure out how much one text message costs. To do this, divide the dollar amount (28.20) by the number of text messages (188). You get 0.15, or $0.15 per text message.

2. Using this $0.15 per text message, you can calculate how much 63 text messages costs. You simply multiply $0.15 by 63 to get $9.45, which is your answer.

Hope this helps! :)

The straight line 3y = 5x + h - 6 intersect the x-axis at 4k, where h and k are constants. explain h in terms of k
inn [45]

When a function intersects with the x-axis, it's y value must be 0. That means when the straight line intersects with the axis, it's at the point (4k,0), so plugging those numbers into our original equation yields:

0=20k+h-6 \implies\\ 6=20k+h \implies \\ 6-20k=h
