Step-by-step explanation:

1)

Let x=larger number

y=smaller number

x+y=59

x-y=13

Now adding these two equations we get

2x=72

x=36

Now as x-y=13

y=x-13=36-13=23

y=23

Therefore the larger number is 36 and the smaller number is 23

(or else u could also write)

The numbers are 36 and 23

---------------------------------------------

2)

Let x=first number

y=Second number

x+y=15

2x-y=6

Now adding these two equations we get

3x=21

x=7

Now as x+y=15,

y=15-x=15-7=8

y=8

Therefore the first number is 7 and the second number is 8

-------------------------------------------

3)

Let x=Larger number

y=smaller number

x-y=3

x-3y=-11

Now on subtracting these two equations we get

2y=14

y=7

Now as x-y=3,

x=y+3=7+3=10

x=10

Therefore the larger number is 10 and the smaller number is 7

Note:-First and last one has already been solved by me in your other two questions .Second one to be solved

#2

  • x+y=15--(1)
  • 2x-y=6--(2)

Add both

  • 3x=21
  • x=7

Put in first one

  • 7+y=15
  • y=8

PLEASE HELP ! 15 POINTs!
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

Perimeter = 101.496 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

draw line from point C that is perpendicular to line AD. Call that point E.

tan 43° = 16.7/ED

0.9325 = 16.7/ED

ED = 17.909 cm

sin 43° = 16.7/CD

0.6820 = 16.7/CD

CD = 24.487 cm

Perimeter = AB + BC + CD + ED + AE

Perimeter = 16.7 + 21.2 + 24.487 + 17.909 + 21.2 = 101.496 cm

What is the point slope of an equation with slope of 3/5 that passes through the point (10,-2)
Verdich [7]
The answer would be B. It gives you the slope and a point on the graph so use that to your advantage. All of the answers show the slope and the slope in the right place, so for now it can be any of them. Then we get to the point (10,-2). For point slope form you would switch the signs for both x and y. So the Y would now be +2 and x would be -10. Y goes together with y, and X goes together with x. In this case y+-y= slope(X+-x) Substitute in for them. Y+2=3/5(X-10)

Laura bernett is 5 ft-4 inches tall. she stands 12 feet from a streetlight and casts a 9-foot-long shadow. how tall is the stree
xxMikexx [17]
The ratio of the height (h) of the streetlight to its distance to the end of Laura's shadow is the same as the ratio of Laura's height to her distance from the end of her shadow.
.. h/(12+9) = 5'4"/9
.. h = (21/9)*5'4" = 12 4/9 feet
.. h = 12 ft 5 1/3 inches

The streetlight is 12 ft 5 1/3 inches tall.
