Since the pivot pillar is 1 m above the ground, maximum angle can the seesaw beam move is 26.39°

The maximum angle can be gotten using trigonometric ratios answer the question,

What are trigonometric ratios?

Trigonometric ratios are the ratios of the sides of a triangle.

What are angles?

Angles are a measure of rotation or bearing.

Given that the seesaw plank is 4.5 m long and the pivot pillar is 1 m above the ground, when the seesaw is at maximum angle, it forms a right angled triangle with the ground.

It also forms a smaller similar triangle with the same maximum angle Ф which is gotten from the trigonometric ratio

sinФ = h/L where

  • h = height of pivot pillar above ground = 1 m and
  • L = length of midpoint of plank = 4.5m/2 = 2.25 m

Maximum angle seesaw beam can move

So, Ф = sin⁻¹(h/L)

= sin⁻¹(1 m/2.25 m)

= sin⁻¹(1/2.25)

= sin⁻¹(0.4444)

= 26.39°

So, maximum angle can the seesaw beam move is 26.39°

Answer:

98

Step-by-step explanation:

ABSOLUTE BRACKETS MEAN ABSOLUTE VALUE- this means that negatives will come out as positives since their absolute values are the same. So |-9| is just 9.

|-81-17| (apply the rule I just gave you)

|81+17|

98

Which statement explains how the lines 2x + y = 4 and y = one halfx + 4 are related?
KatRina [158]

Answer:

They are perpendicular

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem .

we will convert the equations in slope intercept form.

Slope intercept form of equation is y = mx+c

where m is slope of line and c is y intercept.

________________________________

equation 1 is

2x+y = 4

=> y =4 - 2x or y = -2x + 4

comparing it with y = mx + c

m = -2  , c = 4

_________________________________________

equation 2 is y = one halfx + 4 ( one half is same as 1/2)

so equation is

y = x/2 +4

comparing it with y = mx + c

m = 1/2  , c = 4

_________________________________________

Now lets evaluate options

They are parallel.  wrong option

For lines to be parallel slope should be same.

But here slope are different -2 and 1/2 .

Thus lines are not parallel.

__________________________________________

They are perpendicular.  correct option

For lines to be perpendicular, product of slope should be equal to -1.

-2*1/2 = -1

we can see that product of slope should be equal to -1 .

Thus lines are  perpendicular

______________________________________

They are the same line. wrong option

For lines to be same both slope and y intercept should be same.

Y intercept is same but the slopes are different -2 and 1/2 .

Thus lines are not the same line.

__________________________________________

They are not related. wrong option

As we have found that the lines are perpendicular .

So this option is intuitively wrong

PLEASE DO NUMBER 1 SHOW WORK TOO PLEASE
kirill [66]

Answer:

A) False - not a right angle

B) True - it is a right angle

C) True - it is a right angle

D) False-not a right angle

Step-by-step explanation:

A) a*a+b*b=c*c (Asquared+Bsquared=C squared)

    2*2+ 3*3 = 4*4

   4+9=16

    13 does not equal 16

B) 5*5+12*12=13+13

  25+144=169

  169=169 - True

C) 3*3+4*4=5*5

    9+16=25

     25=25 (True)

D) 4+ Root of 3 = Root of 19

    False - square root of a prime number is irrational

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Define

Identify

f(x) = 1 - x²

Step 2: Evaluate

  1. Substitute in x [Function f(x)]:                                                                          f(2x + 4) = 1 - (2x + 4)²
  2. Expand [FOIL]:                                                                                                  f(2x + 4) = 1 - (4x² + 16x + 16)
  3. (Parenthesis) Distribute negative:                                                                   f(2x + 4) = 1 - 4x² - 16x - 16
  4. Combine like terms:                                                                                          f(2x + 4) = -4x² -16x - 15
