A simile is a comparison of two unlike things using "like" or "as".
For example:
"John was like an eagle, as he quickly spotted the rabbit, and was able to capture it."
Note that the word <em>like</em> was used, and that it compared <em>John</em> with the <em>eagle</em>

To center text, you would have to look up at the tools on the bar above the doc after highlighting the text you want centered. Looking at the bar, there will be only one icon with lines and a arrow facing downwards. If you hover on it it says align, and if you click on it, 4 icons with different set lines will appear. Hovering on the second icon will say center align, and clicking on it will center your text.
I think I did a good job wording it...
1.The knight has stolen the virtue of a maiden. To live, he must answer the question, "what is the thing that most women desire?" He has a year and a day to find the answer.
2. In exchange for the correct answer to the queen's question, the knight will do whatever the old women asks of him. To fulfill the bargain, he marries her, because that is her demand.
3.He says she is old, plain, poor, and low bred, meaning not of "gentle birth" or nobility.
4.She says he can choose to have old, ugly, but loyal until she dies or he can have her young and pretty and take his chances of her loyalty.
5.She transforms her self into a young and lovely women.
