A: 6/8, 9/12, 12/16
b: 6/14, 9/21, 12/28
c: 6/9, 2/3, 4/6
d: 1/4, 2/8, 2/12

In order to find equivalent fractions for a fraction is multiply or divide the numerator and denominator by the same number.

For example, 3/4=6/8 because 3x2=6 and 4x2=8, 6/8.

Hope this helps!

To understand how to do this problem, we have to look at examples to figure it out. One example would be, if I had a whole cake and cut into 2 pieces I would have two halves, and if I cut it into 4 pieces, I'll have 4 quarters of cake, so 2/2 (two halves) = 4/4 (4 quarters). If I ate 1/2 I would have

(Keep in mind that Equivalent fractions are fractions that are equal to each other)

So to solve these we have to figure out the equal fractions. To do this, we start by multiplying by 2.

(the * symbol is multiplication)

So 3/4 would be 3*2=6 and 4*2=8 so it would be 6/8

Now we can try multiplying it by 3

3*3=9 and 4*3=12 so the 2nd would be 9/12

And we multiply it by 4 now,

3*4=12 and 4*4=16 so the 3th would be 12/16

So, therefore, the answers for 3/4 are 6/8, 9/12, & 12/16.

I'm also going to give you a simplified number that you can use to solve the other problems easier.

3/7 is 3/7. (cannot be simplified)

18/27 is 2/3.

20/80 is 1/4.

You can use these three numbers to start and multiply by 2 and 3 for the other two numbers.

I just gave you a very easy was to solve them and a simple calculator or doing the simple math will be able to help you figure out the rest.

Good luck!

What is the diameter of the circle whose center is at (6, 0) and that passes through the point (2, -3)?
pickupchik [31]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

\left(x-h\right)^{2}+\left(y-k\right)^{2}=r^2

\left(x-6\right)^{2}+\left(y-0\right)^{2}=r^2\\

We used (2,-3)

\left(2-6\right)^{2}+\left(-3-0\right)^{2}=25

r^2=25\\ , so r = 5

But this one is asking for the diameter, and to find it. It's simply 2r.

2*5 = 10

Which operations can be applied to a matrix in the process of Gauss-Jordan elimination?
alexandr402 [8]

Operations that can be applied to a matrix in the process of Gauss-Jordan elimination are options 1,2 and 4.

What is gauss Jordan's elimination?

Gauss-Jordan Elimination is a matrix-based technique for solving linear equations or determining a matrix's inverse.

When using Gauss Jordan elimination, the following operations may be carried out on a matrix:

1. Replacing a row with twice that row

2. Replacing a row with the sum of that row and another row

3. Swapping row

The optional row(or column) procedures that can be employed are:

1. Alternate any two rows (or columns)

2. Scalar multiples of one row (column) are added or subtracted from another row (column) occurs when a row is substituted with the sum of another row and that row.

3. Multiply any row (or column) fully by a nonzero scalar, as seen below by substituting a row with two rows.

Hence, Gauss-Jordan elimination includes options 1,2, and 4.

Need help with this problem
bearhunter [10]

Answer:

C. -1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

well the formula for slope is m=(y2-y1/x2-x1). y2 = -5 y1= 3 x2 = 2 x1 = -14. put that all together to get -5-3/2-(-14). well -5 - 3 = -8. the second one is like a multiplication problem so a negative minus a negative is a positive. which give u 2 + 14 = 16. so you get the fraction -8/16 both are divisible by 8 so divide the equation by 8 and you get -1/2.
