To find the Trigonometric Equation, we have to isolate sin, cos, tan, etc. We are also given the interval [0,2π).

First Question

What we have to do is to isolate cos first.

Then find the reference angle. As we know cos(π/3) equals 1/2. Therefore π/3 is our reference angle.

Since we know that cos is negative in Q2 and Q3. We will be using π + (ref. angle) for Q3. and π - (ref. angle) for Q2.

Find Q2

Each of 8 students reported the number of movies they saw in the past year. This is what they reported: 4, 14, 16, 4, 20, 19, 12

The mean is simply the average of the total movies seen so..
$\frac{4 + 14 + 16 + 4 + 20 + 19 + 12 + 10}{2} = mean$
$\frac{99}{2} = mean$
$49.5 = mean$

the median is the middle number (or the average of the middle 2 numbers)
so if we line up the numbers in order and cross them out from both ends we get 12 & 14 so we take the average of the 2
