Area and perimeter of figure be: 562.08 m² and 123.68 m

What is Area and perimeter?

Perimeter is the distance around the outside of a shape. Area measures the space inside a shape.

The figure comprises of a parallelogram and semicircle.

1. For Area

Area of parallelogram = base x height

                                     = 24 x 14

                                     = 336 m²

Area of semicircle = (π x r²)/2

                               = (3.14 * 12 * 12)/2

                              = 226.08 m²

Total Area of the figure = 336+ 226.08 =562.08 m²

2. Perimeter

Perimeter of parallelogram= 2 (a+b)

                                             = 2 (19 +24)

                                            = 86 m

Perimeter of semicircle= π * r

                                      = 3.14 * 12

                                     = 37.68 m

Total Perimeter of the figure= 86 + 37.68 = 123.68 m

Subtract the sum of the expressions (4x2 – 6x + 3) and (-5x2 + 5x + 2) from the sum of (7x2 – 8x + 2) and (6x2 – 3x + 8)
snow_lady [41]

Answer: [6x]

Step-by-step explanation:

(8 - 9x) = [1x]

(-10 + 7x) = [17x]

(14 - 16x) = [2x]

(12 - 24x) = [12x]

12x - 2x - 17x - 1x =

10x - 16x = [6x]

-x²-8x-16=0
what is the solutions by solving by quadratic equations
Alika [10]

Answer:

x = - 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

- x² - 8x - 16 = 0 ( multiply through by - 1 to clear the leading negative )

x² + 8x + 16 = 0 ← this is a perfect square

(x + 4)² = 0 ( take the square root of both sides )

x + 4 = 0 ( subtract 4 from both sides )

x = - 4
