What is the missing coefficient of the x-term of the product (–x – 5)2 after it has been simplified?
valina [46]

we have

(-x-5)^{2}

we know that

(-x-5)^{2}=(-x-5)*(-x-5)

To multiply two binomial I can use the FOIL method

(-x-5)*(-x-5) =(-x)*(-x)+(-x)*(-5)+(-5)*(-x)+(-5)*(-5)\\ =x^{2} +5x+5x+25\\ =x^{2} +10x+25

therefore

the answer is

the missing coefficient of the x-term is 10

I need help please!!
Harrizon [31]
I'll do 1 and 8, and you should then be able to do 2 and 9!

For 1, we can multiply these separately  - 3*4*9=108 and 5+7+2=13 (exponent multiplication is adding them!), so we have 108b^13

For 8, we can again add the exponents up to get (5/7)^8
