Rotation is when an object turns around on an internal axis, but when an object CIRCLES an internal object, it is called a revolution.

Rotation: When the Earth spins on its axis!

Revolution: When the Earth circles the sun!

So technically, they are related because they are both spinning, but they are spinning in 2 different ways, which are listed above!
