The answer for the following inequality is M < 12
kherson [118]2 years ago
4 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

\cfrac{m - 8}{2} < 2 \: \: \: \: \: ...1

\cfrac{3m + 1}2 > - 1 \: \: \: \: \: ...2

Inequality 1:

Simplify:

  • 1/2 m - 4 < 2

Add 4 to both sides:

  • 1/2 m - 4 + 4 < 2+4
  • 1/2 m < 6

Multiply both sides by 2:

  • 1/2 m * 2 < 6*2
  • m < 12

Hence,m < 8

Inequality 2:

\cfrac{3m + 1}2 > - 1

This inequality can't be solved because the absolute values can't be less than 0,and can't be negative.

Solve by elimination.<br> 5x-7y=19<br> 7x-7y=-7
SVEN [57.7K]

Answer:

(x,y)=(-13,-12)

Step-by-step explanation:

5x - 7y = 19

7x - 7y = -7  Multiply both sides of the equation by -1

Which then gives you :

5x-7y=19  Sum the equations vertically to eliminate

-7x+7y=7                 at least on variable

-2x=26      Divide both sides of the equation by -2

X=-13       Substitute the given value of x into the equation 7x - 7y =-7

7 x(-13)-7y=-7 solve the equation for y

y=-12

Thus gives you (-13,-12)

Hope this was useful!!! Sorry if it's wrong.

The experimental probability is the number of specific outcomes divided by the sample size...

P(6)=27/100  (27%)

P(H)=41/100  (41%)

Not sure, but if you meant rolling a 6 AND getting a head then:

P(6 AND H)=(27/100)(41/100)=1107/10000  (11.07%)
