The image lines constructed are called parallel lines. They are parallel because they are all equidistant to each other at every point and at no point between any of the lines will there be an intersection of the three lines.

What does it mean for two or more lines to be equidistant from each other?

Equidistance is simply another word for equal in distance. That is, parallel lines maintain equal distance from each other at all points along them.

See the attached construction as well as more insights about parallel lines from the link below.

Serjik [45]
7 times 10 is 70, so in total the friends got that amount, but we aren’t done, because we still need to add the roll that he kept for himself, so it’s 71. Notice that it didn’t say he left a whole bag for himself, just one roll.

Help me with this,i really forgot how to do these type of questions
Montano1993 [528]
Work=speed times time (my equation to help me figure it out)

ok, 10 men take 84 days to complete a job
therefor, each man completes 1/10 of the job in 84 days
each man does 1/840 of the job per 1 day

so, if we had 5 more, or 15 men

15 times 1/840 times xdays=1 job complete
15/840 times xdays=1job
times both sides by 840/15
xdays=840/15
xdays=56
56 days it would take
