Answer:

x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

these are vertically opposite angles

10x+6 = 11x

so, since only one x is missing from 10x but 6 is addling we can say that x= 6

10 multiplied by 6 = 60

60+6 = 66

11 multiplied by 6 = 66

so by this we can say,

x= 6

Answer:

x = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

vertically opposite angles are equal.

so

11x = 10x + 6

This must mean that 6 = x

we need 6 to get to 11x from 10x.

Hope this helps, and that it makes sense. If you need further explanation, please let me know.

A rectangular field is fully enclosed with 218 meters of fencing. The length of the field is
mestny [16]

The length and width of a rectangular field fully enclosed with 218 metes fencing  are 63 meters and 46 meters respectively.

The perimeter of a rectangle is the sum of the whole four sides. Therefore, the perimeter of a rectangle is defined as follows:

  • perimeter = 2(l + w)

where

l = length

w = width

perimeter = 218 meters

The length of the field is  17 meters longer than the width, w. Therefore, the length is defined as follows:

  • l = 17 + w

The length and the width can be calculated as follows:

218 = 2(l + w)

218 = 2(17 + w + w)

218 = 34 + 4w

218 - 34 = 4w

184 = 4w

divide both sides by 4

w = 184 / 4

w = 46 meters

length = 17 + 46

length = 63 meters

1.   x+5y=8
    2x- 5y=1     What you do is find the number/variable that are the same( here is is the +5y and -5y. You want them to be opposites(-,+) so that they cancel each other out. if they are not opposites, then multiply one equation by a negative sign to change it. Cross out the 5y's. Now you can combine like terms-x+2x=3x, and 8+1=9, so now your equation will look like this:
3x=9
x=9/3
x=3
now take x=3 and plug it into the first equation to solve for y. x+5y=8, so 3+5y=8
5y=8-3
5y=5
y=5/5
y=1
(3,1) are your answers.
now do the same with the other problems.
