Answer:

sin A = 20 / 27

cos A = 13 / 27

tan A = 20 / 13

Step-by-step explanation:

SOH - CAH - TOA

(sin = opposite / hypotenuse)

(cos = adjacent / hypotenuse)

(tan = opposite / adjacent)

Finding values of "sin" of an angle can seem complicated--but actually, it's quite simple!

Essentially, we are finding the opposite and adjacent values relative to the angle.

From earlier math, you probably know what a hypotenuse is.

The "adjacent" triangle leg is the one touching the angle.

(on the adjacent side of the angle)

The "opposite" triangle leg is where the angle is facing / the leg that is not touching your angle

(on the opposite side of the angle).

So, relative to angle A:

adjacent: 13

opposite: 20

hypotenuse: 27

So, to find

sin A, cos A, and tan A,

we follow the trigonometric ratios.

(these are called ratios because that is exactly what they are. The ratio between two values, such as the opposite and the hypotenuse, gives us information on the values of a triangle)

( these ratios can be remembered by SOH - CAH - TOA

(sin = opposite / hypotenuse)

(cos = adjacent / hypotenuse)

(tan = opposite / adjacent) )

(adjacent: 13

opposite: 20

hypotenuse: 27)

so,

sin A = opposite / hypotenuse

sin A = 20 / 27

cos A = adjacent / hypotenuse

cos A = 13 / 27

tan A = opposite / adjacent

tan A = 20 / 13

hope this helps!!

Jenni wrote a rational number that is positive. Which of the following is not a possible number that she wrote?
notsponge [240]

Answer:

There is no answer.

0 is rational since it can be written as a fraction (0/5, 0/69)

1 is obviously rational. 7/8 is .875 and 5 1/4 is 5.25

Suppose y varies directly with x. If y=16 when x= 8, find x when y=10
DiKsa [7]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

By question,

=> y = kx

When y = 16 , x = 8

=> 16 = x(8)

=> x = 2

When y = 10 ,

=> 10 = 2x

=> x = 5
