Answer:

√ (p(1-p) / n)

Step-by-step explanation:

Standard Error(SE) of the Sample Proportion: √ (p(1-p) / n). Note: as the sample size increases, the standard error decreases.

Jim and Dianna want to save for their child’s college expenses. They find an annuity that pays 6% annual interest, compounded mo
lana66690 [7]

Answer:

future value = $49163.8

so required amount will be $491200 nearest $100

Step-by-step explanation:

given data

annual interest rate = 6 %

annuity = $300 per month

time period = 10 years

to find out

how much money will they have for the college expenses

solution

we know that effective rate will be

effective rate = \frac{0.06}{12}

effective rate = 5 × 10^{-3}

number of payment = 12 × 10 = 120

so future value will be express as

future value = annuity × \frac{(1+r)^t-1}{r}   .........1

future value = 300 × \frac{(1+5*10^{-3})^{120}-1}{5*10^{-3}}

future value = 300 × 163.8793

future value = $49163.8

so required amount will be $491200 nearest $100

Compound Interest: Hannah is putting 10,000 dollars in the bank for 5 years at 6% p.a every 6 months what is her Final Balance?
8090 [49]
I think you can solve it by doing this:

10(10,000+0.06)= Final Balance

6 months + 6 months = 1 year

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
    She has to pay twice a year

Now that we know that just multiply 2 by 5 and you get 10. 10(10,000+0.06)= Final Balance

So it should be 100000.6

Not sure if that's right so ask someone to check

Help please, kind of confused
Anvisha [2.4K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Yikes. This is quite a doozy, so pay attention. We will begin by factoring by grouping. Group the first 2 terms together into a set of parenthesis, and  likewise with the last 2 terms:

(2d^4+6d^3)-(18d^2-54d) and factor out what's common in each set of parenthesis:

2d^3(d+3)-18d(d+3). Now you can what's common is the (d + 3), so factor that out now:

(d+3)(2d^3-18d) BUT in that second set of parenthesis, we can still find things common in both terms, so we continue to factor that set of parenthesis, carrying with us the (d + 3):

(d+3)2d(d^2-9) BUT that second set of parenthesis is the difference of perfect squares, so we continue factoring, carrying with us all the other stuff we have already factored:

(d+3)2d(d+3)(d-3). That's completely factored, but it's not completely simplified. Notice we have 2 terms that are identical: (d + 3):

2d(d+3)^2(d-3) is the completely factored and simplified answer, choice 3)
