Hydrogen sulfide has a low boiling point because it is only a slightly polar molecule, meaning that it only has weak dipole-dipole intermolecular forces. Because of its relatively weak intermolecular forces, it has a low boiling point.

an irregularly shaped solid is dropped into a graduated cylinder filled with 45.00 mL of water. the water level with the object
posledela

The density of the object is 1.96 g/cm³.

Mass = 73.5 g

Volume = 82.5 mL – 45.00 mL = 37.5mL = 37.5 cm³

Density = mass/volume = 73.5 g/37.5 cm³ = 1.96 g/cm³

What is the empirical formula of a substance that contains 2.64 g of c, 0.444 g of h, and 7.04 g of o?
vitfil [10]

To calculate empirical formula, number of moles of different atoms calculated first:

Number of moles of Carbon , n=

=\frac{Given mass of carbon}{Molar mass of carbon}

=\frac{2.64 g}{12.011 g mol^{-1}}

= 0.220 mol

Number of moles H =\frac{Given mass of hydrogen}{Molar mass of hydrogen}

=\frac{0.444 g}{1.008 g mol^{-1}}

= 0.440 mol

Number of moles of oxygen =\frac{Given mass of oxygen}{Molar mass of oxygen}

=\frac{7.04 g}{15.999 g mol^{-1}}

= 0.440 mol

Ratio of carbon

=\frac{0.220}{0.220}

= 1

Ratio of hydrogen

=\frac{0.440}{0.220}

= 2

Ratio of oxygen

=\frac{0.440}{0.220}

= 2

So, the empirical formula is CH₂O₂

Why must protein digesting enzymes be stored in the inactive form
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

To shield the organs and glands from the enzymes' digestion, protein digesting enzymes are released in an inactive state. If they are discharged in an active state, they begin digesting the glands that transport them as well as the release site.
