If the angle G is moved to a different spot in the circle the angle FGH and angle FEH in the cyclic quadrilateral will change to make it supplementary.

<h3>How to find angles of cyclic quadrilateral?</h3>

A cyclic quadrilateral is inscribed in a circle. It has all its vertices on the circumference of the circle.

Opposite angles in a cyclic quadrilateral are supplementary angles. That means they add up to 180 degrees.

Therefore,

∠F + ∠H = 180°

∠G + ∠E = 180°

Hence, if we moved ∠G to a different spot on the circle, angle FGH would change but angle FEH will also change to make the two opposite angles supplementary.

Therefore, Felix was wrong.

Tan(x+pi) + 2sin(x+pi)=0<br><br>can you help prove this and make the left side equal the right?
vladimir1956 [14]

This is not an identity but an equation. You're supposed to find the values of x for which this is true. It is *not* true for all values of x.

To see why:

\tan x has period \pi, which means \tan(x+\pi)=\tan x.

The angle sum identity for \sin x says that

\sin(x+\pi)=\sin x\cos \pi+\cos x\sin\pi=-\sin x

So

\tan(x+\pi)+2\sin(x+\pi)=\tan x-2\sin x

By definition of \tan x,

\tan x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}

and so

\tan x-2\sin x=\sin x\left(\dfrac1{\cos x}-2\right)

which is only 0 if either \sin x=0 (which only happens for certain values of x) or \dfrac1{\cos x}-2=0\implies\cos x=\dfrac12 (which also only happens for certain values of x). It's these values of x you want to find.

\sin x=0 whenever x is a multiple of \pi, i.e. x=n\pi for any integer n.

If 0\le x, then \cos x=\dfrac12 is true for x=\dfrac\pi3 and x=\dfrac{5\pi}3. Then to account for all other possible values, we add a multiple of 2\pi, so that x=\dfrac\pi3+2n\pi or x=\dfrac{5\pi}3+2n\pi for integers n.

Rain spoils the strawberry crop. As a result, the price of strawberries rises from $4 to $6 a box and the quantity decreases fro
masha68 [24]
Mid point elasticity formula

[change in price] / [average price] ÷ [change in quantity] / [average quantity]

change in price = $6 - $4 = $2

average price = [$ 6 +$4] / $2 = 10/ 2 = 5

[change in price] / [average price] = 2/5

change in quantity = 1000 boxes - 600 boxes = 400 boxes

average quantity = [1000 boxes + 600 boxes] / 2 = 1600 boxes / 2 = 800
boxes

change in quantity / average quantity = 400/800 = 1/2

midpoint elasticity = 2/5 ÷ 1/2 =  4/5 = 0.8

0.8 < 1 => inelastic demand (the change is demand is less than proportional to the change in price)

The diagonal of a square is x units. What is the area of the square in terms of x?
Anettt [7]

Answer:

1/2(x²) square units

Step-by-step explanation

From the question,

Area of a Square(A) = L²

A = L²................. Equation 1

Where L = Lenght of the square

If the diagonal of the square is x,

Using pythagoras theorem,

a² = b²+c².................. Equation 2

Wherer a = x, b = c= L

Therefore,

x² = L²+L²

x² = 2L²

L² = x²/2

L = √(x²/2)

Substitute the value of L into equation 1

A = [√(x²/2)]²

A = x²/2 square unit.

A = 1/2(x²) square unit.

The right option is 1/2(x²) square units
