Among the three germ layers, the endoderm (the most internal layer) is the one that gives rise to liver.

<h3>What is the endoderm?</h3>

Three embryonic layers are present in the blastoderm after segmentation. One of them is the endoderm, which is located in the interior most region of the embryo.

The endoderm is in charge of producing the Yolk sac, digestive and respiratory systems. It is involved in the formation of the thyroid glands, the thymus, pancreas, organs like the liver, and the structures are responsible for the urination.  

The endoderm is the germ layer that gives rise to liver.
