A recipe is designed to serve 4 people. You want to serve 18 people, so you multiply each ingredient in the recipe by a factor A

.
Set up an equation to find the factor you will need to use to determine the new amounts in the recipe. (Write the equation and solve to find that factor.) B.
If the recipe calls for 3/4 cup of water when serving four people, how much will the new recipe need for 18 people? Show your work in finding your answer and make sure your answer is clearly stated.

Answer:

For B. it's going to be 3 and 3/4 cups of water.

Step-by-step explanation:

1st you need to multiply 3/4 and 5. 18 can't be divided by 4 to get a whole number, so the closest you can get is if you divide 20 and 4. Then you would get 5. So, what I got the 20, because I rounded up to the nearest number that 4 can be divided by. Use a calculator. It will help you a lot! and it doesn't need to be a fancy one either. It can be the standard (or simple) calculator.

Jan buys 3 bags of beads. Each bag contains 7 beads. Draw a bar diagram and write an addition equation and a multiplication equa
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

  - The diagram bar is attached.

  - Addition equation:  7+7+7=21

  - Multiplication equation: (3)(7)=21

  -  How are the equation related? Each equation shows 3 groups of 7.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that Jan buys 3 bags of beads and each bag contains 7 beads, then, you can draw the bar diagram shown attached.

 Observe that the diagram has 3 blocks (each block represents a bag of bead) and there is a number 7 inside of each block (which is the number of beads contained in a bag).

Therefore:

- Add the numbers inside the blocks in order to get the addition equation that shows the number of  beads Jan buys. This is:

7+7+7=21

- Multiply 3 blocks by 7 in order to get multiplication equation that show the number of beads Jan buys:

(3)(7)=21

The equations are related. Each one shows 3 groups of 7.

Figure ABCD is a parallelogram. What is the value of n?
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer

Find out the what is the value of n.

To prove

By using the parallelogram property .

In parallelogram opposite angels are congruent .

As shown in the figure .

∠B = ∠ D

As given

∠B = (2n + 32)°

∠D = (4n - 2)°

(2n + 32) =  (4n - 2)

solving the above

4n -2n = 32 +2

2n = 34

n = \frac{34}{2}

n = 17

Therefore the value of n is 17 .
