Area

Find the Area of shaded figure.

Solution:

Problem 13.

 • A = π r²
 • AB= π (2inch)²
 • A = 2 x 2
 • A = 4inch π
 • As = π(4inch)
 • A = 4 x 4
 • A = 16inch
 • A = 4inch x 3.14 = 12.56
 • A = 16inch x 3.14 = 50.24
 • A = 50.24 - 12.56
 • A = 37.68units²

Problem 14.

 • A = Radius ,13²
 • A = (3.14)
 • A = 13 x 13
 • A = 169π
 • A = 3/8 x 169 π
 • A = 3 × 169
 • A = 507
 • A = 507 ÷ 8
 • A = 63.375π
 • A = 63.375 x 3.14
 • A = 198.9975 inch²

Problem 15.

 • A = π r²
 • A = 10cm
 • A = 10cm x 10cm
 • A = 100cm²
 • A = 100 cm² - 78.5
 • A = 21.5cm²

Find g[h(x)] if g(x)=x^2 and h(x)=x+3
svetlana [45]

Answer:

g(h(x)) = [x + 3]^2 or x^2 + 6x + 9

Step-by-step explanation:

g[h(x)] signifies that h(x) is the input to g(x).

Writing out g(x) = x^2 and replacing "x" with [x + 3], we get:

g(h(x)) = [x + 3]^2 or x^2 + 6x + 9

Consider the polynomial f(x)=2x^5-3x^4+x-6 (x )equals 2 x Superscript 5 Baseline minus 3 x Superscript 4 Baseline plus x minus 6
melamori03 [73]

Answer:

degree of polynomial = 5

leading term = 2x^{5}

leading coefficient = 2

constant term = -6

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 2x^{5}-3x^{4}+x-6

(i) The degree of the polynomial = 5. That is, the highest power of x

(ii) Leading term = 2x^{5}. This is the term with the highest power of x.

(iii) Leading Coefficient = 2. That is, the coefficient of the leading term (2x^{5})

(iv) Constant term = -6. This is the term that is independent of x or the term in which x doesn't appear.

The equation of a line is y = 3. write an equation in slope-intercept form of a line parallel to y = 3 that passes through (0,6)
egoroff_w [7]
So first make it y-6=3(x-0) and distribute to make y-6=3X+0 than add the 6 to make Y=3x+6 do you see how I did that
