35 is the correct answer. You figure it out by divided the change in y by the change in x. It is the formula for slope.
210-140. = 70 for change in y
6-4 = 2
Then 70/2= 35

Hope this is helpful to you. Have a nice day.

Brigitte is shorter than 5 feet. (Brigitte's height=h). Help please
KonstantinChe [14]

Brigitte is shorter than 5 feet. (Brigitte's height=h)

We write this in  inequality form

Brigitte's height is h

So 'h' is shorter than 5 feet

Shorter means less than so we use < symbol. We should not use = symbol because height is shorter than 5 not equal to 5.

Suppose if it is given ' height is more than 5 feet ' then we use greater than symbol (>)

h is less than 5 feet

h < 5

Inequality is h < 5

In November 2010 the average cost of 5 gallons of regular unleaded gasoline in the United States was $14.46. What was the averag
Svetach [21]

Answer:

$46.72

Step-by-step explanation:

The first step is to find the price of 1 gallon

5 gallons= 14.46

1 gallon= x

5x= 14.46

x= 14.46/5

1 gallon= $2.92

Therefore the cost of 16 gallons of gasoline can be calculated as follows

1 gallon= 2.92

16= x

x= 2.92 × 16

= $46.72

Find the coordinates of the midpoint M of the segment with the given endpoints. Then find the distance between the two points. R
MrRa [10]
Question 1. Midpoint

Answer: M(-2,4)

Explanation:

1) The coordinates of the midpoint, M (x,y) between two points (x₁,y₁) and (x₂, y₂) are:

x = (x₁ + x₂) / 2 and y = (y₁ + y₂) / 2

2) Replacing the coordinates of the given points P (-4, 1) and Q (0,7) you get:

x = (- 4 + 0) / 2 = - 2, and
y = (1 + 7) / 2 = 4

So, the answer is M (-2,4)

Question 2: The distance between the two midpoints is:

Answer: 7.21

Explanation:

1) Use the formula of distance, which is an application of Pythagora's theorem:

d² = (x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²

2) Substitute values:

d² = (0 - (-4))² + (7 - 1)² = 4² + 6² = 16 + 36 = 52 ⇒ d = √52 ≈ 7.21
