2(3x-1) >=4x-6
6x-2>=4x-6
6x-4x>= -6+2
2x>=-4
x>=-2

You can see after simplification, the valve of x can be any number greater than or equal to -2. i.e -5 and -3 can not be in the solution set. the first choice can be dismissed, the fact the variable O could be any number that may not satisfy the solution. Therefore 0-1 is the answer, any thing between 0 & 1 including 0 and one satisfy the solution set

a sixth grade student brought three cans of tennis balls for $4 each sales tax for all three cans was $0.95 write an expression
JulijaS [17]

Answer:

An expression that would show how much the student paid is 3(4) + 0.95, which can be solved to be 12.95

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that we need to multiply the number of cans (3) by the price of the cans (4). We also know the sales tax for the total is 0.95, which can simply be added to the end.

lauren wants to keep her cell phone bull under $60 per month. Her current cell phone plan is $30 per month plus $0.50 per text.
stellarik [79]

Answer:

The correct answer is t < 60.

Step-by-step explanation:

Lauren wants to keep her cell phone bill below $60 per month.

Lauren's current cellphone plan charges her a fixed price of $30 and per text price for one text is $0.50.

Let Lauren sends t texts in a complete month.

Total money spent on texts in a month is given by $ (0.50 × t)

Therefore Lauren's total spent in a month is given by $ (30 + (0.50 × t)).

But this amount should be under $60 as per as the given problem.

∴ 30 + (0.50 × t) < 60

⇒ (0.50 × t) < 30

⇒ t < \frac{30}{0.50}

⇒ t < 60.

So in order to keep her phone monthly bill under $60, Lauren should keep her number of texts below 60.
