Answer:

Cost of a T-shirt is £4
Cost of a Hat is £1

Step-by-step explanation:

Let T be the cost of each T-shirt and H the cost of each hat

We get two equations based on the cost description

3T + 2H = 14 ...... (1)
2T + 7H = 15 ...... (2)

Multiply (1) by 2 and (2) by 3 so that the T terms are the same
(1) x 2  ==> 6T + 4H = 28  ...  (3)
(2) x 3 ==> 6T + 21H = 45 ... (4)

Subtract (3) from (4) to eliminate the T terms
21H - 4H = 45 - 28 or 17H = 17 ==> H = 1

Substituting the value of H in either (1) or (2) will give us a value for T
Substitute in (1)
3T + 2*1 = 14 ==> 3T = 12, T = 4

Check
In (1) 3 *4 + 2 *1 = 14
In (2) 2*4 + 7*1 = 15
So satisfies both equations

A giant circular fair ride has a radius of 60m, with 12passenger pods spaced around the circumference at equal distances. How fa
sasho [114]

Answer:

The distance between the 6th and 10th seat is approximately 126m

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all, we will need to calculate the circumference of the circular fair ride.

which the formula is

2\pi r= 2 \times \pi \times 60 \\\\=377m

The circumference of the circle is 377m

At this point, we will have to take note that the pods are equally spaced.

To get the distance between the sixth pod and the tenth pod, we will have to use the principle of fractions of a whole.

There are 12 seats in total, the distance between the 6th and tenth seat is 4 seats. Expressing this distance in terms of seats, as a fraction is 4/12 equally spaced seats.

This ratio can be related to the circumference of the circle as

= \frac{4}{12} \times377\\\\=125.66m \approx 126m

Therefore, the distance between the 6th and 10th seat is approximately 126m

Write the line equation for the line passing through the points (8, 3) and (12, -1).
Aneli [31]

Answer:

Line equation is y=-x+11

The product of the slope and the y-intercept is -11

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the slope formula to find the slope of the equation.

yvalue2 minus yvalue1 /xvalue 2 minus xvalue1

-1-3/12-8=-1

The slope is -1.

Now, use the slope-intercept formula to find the y-intercept

y-3=-1(x-8)

y-3=-x+8

y=11

The equation is y=-x+11

The product of the slope and the y-intercept is -1(11)=-11

Hope this helps.
