What was Worcester v. Georgia case?

In the historic case of Worcester v. Georgia, , the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Samuel Worcester's conviction and ruled that Georgia's penal code, which forbade non-Native Americans from being on Native American territories without a permit from the state, was unconstitutional. In the final verdict it was announced that the state could not to impose regulations on Native American Land.

Hence, the verdict provided the Native Americans their Right to preserve their separate identity and saved themm from unconstitutional regulations.
