Answer:

Simultaneous equations are two or more algebraic equations that share variables e.g. x and y . They are called simultaneous equations because the equations are solved at the same time. Each of these equations on their own could have infinite possible solutions.

TJ ran 1 6/8 miles yesterday. He stopped for a break 8/10 of the way into his run. How many miles did he run before he stopped f
lana66690 [7]
I am bad at this types of questions but will give you what i would write of the question if i had it
If his run is 16/8 miles per day, 8/10 of the run is 16/8×8/10= 2×8/10
= 16/10
= 1.6
but... i am not sure if the question requires yoi to add the miles from the pervious day as the break was only stated in the second day. If i were you, i will leave the answer as 1.6 miles.

A cylindrical basin is 2 feet tall and has a diameter of 5 feet, as shown. If the basin is completely filled with water, how muc
jarptica [38.1K]

Answer:

39.3 ft^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The cylindrical basin has a height of 2 ft and a diameter of 5 ft.

To find the amount of water that will completely fill up the basin, we simply need to find the volume of the basin.

The volume of a cylinder is given as:

V = \pi r^2h

where r = radius of the basin (half the diameter) = 2.5 ft

h = height of the basin

Hence, the volume is:

V = \pi * 2.5^2 * 2

V = 39.27 ft^3 ≅ 39.3 ft^3

The cylindrical basin can hold up to 39.3 ft^3 of water.
