40. Noor is packing chocolates into boxes. The boxes come in small, medium and large sizes. A large box holds twice as many choc

olates as a medium box and three times as many chocolates as a small box. Noor fills three times as many small boxes as medium boxes and twice as many medium boxes as large boxes. Altogether she packs 1296 chocolates. In total, how many chocolates does she pack into the small boxes.

The number of chocolate which goes into the small boxes is 100 chocolate

<h3>Equation</h3>

  • Chocolate in small boxes = x
  • Chocolate in medium boxes = 3x
  • Chocolate in large boxes = 3x + 2(3x)

= 3x + 6x

= 9x

  • Total chocolate = 1296

x + 3x + 9x = 1296

13x = 1296

x = 1296/13

x = 99.6923076923076

Approximately,

x = 100 boxes

The slope intercept form of the equation of a line that passes through (-2,13) is y =5x-3what is the point slope form of the equ
Zigmanuir [339]

Answer:

y - 13 = 5(x + 2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in point- slope form is

y - b = m(x - a)

where m is the slope and (a, b) a point on the line

Given y = 5x - 3 in  slope- intercept form

with slope m = 5, then

m = 5 and (a, b) = (- 2, 13)

y - 13 = 5(x - (- 2)), that is

y - 13 = 5(x + 2) ← in point- slope form

1. What is the vertex form of the equation?
sergeinik [125]

1.vertex form is y=a(x-h)^2+k

to get into vertex form, complete the square

y=-x^2+12x-4

step 1: group x terms

y=(-x^2+12x)-4

step 2: factor coefient in front of x^2 term

y=-1(x^2-12x)-4

prep for next step: take 1/2 of linear (1st dgree term) and square it

\frac{-12}{2}=-6, (-6)^2=36

step 3: add positive and negative of that previous number inside the parenthasees

y=-1(x^2-12x+36-36)-4

factor perfect squaer trionmial

y=-1((x-6)^2-36)-4

take out that -36 by expansion

y=-1(x-6)^2+36-4

y=-1(x-6)^2+32

2. factor out the 2

2(x^2+8x+12)

what 2 numbers multiply to get 12 and add to get 8?

2 and 6

2(x+2)(x+6)

3.

for ax^2+bx+c=0

x=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}

in our case

x^2-7x-6=0

a=1, b=-7, c=-6

x=\frac{-(-7) \pm \sqrt{(-7)^2-4(1)(-6)}}{2(1)}

x=\frac{7 \pm \sqrt{73}}{2}

so x=\frac{7+\sqrt{73}}{2} and x=\frac{7-\sqrt{73}}{2}

4. remember that i=\sqrt{-1} so i^2=-1

treat i as a variable

(-2i)(8i)=

(-2)(i)(8)(i)=

(-2)(8)(i)(i)=

(-16)(i^2)=

(-16)(-1)=

If T is the centroid of ∡MNP, TN = 16, MQ = 23, and RP = 18, find each missing measure.
kramer

Answer:

a) QT = 8

b) QN = 24

c) QP = 23

d) MP = 46

e) RT = 6

f) TP = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the diagram attached

If T is the centroid of<MNP, then the following are true;

TN = 2QT

Given TN = 16

16 = 2QT

QT = 16/2

QT = 8

QN = QT + TN

QN = 8 + 16

QN = 24

MQ + QP = MP and MQ = QP

If MQ = 23

QP = 23

Recall that MP =  MQ + QP

MP = MQ + MQ

MP = 2MQ

MP = 2(23)

MP = 46

Similarly, TP = 2RT

RT = TP/2

Also RP = RT + TP

RP = RT + 2 RT

RP = 3RT

18 = 3RT

RT = 18/3

RT = 6

Recall that TP = 2RT

TP = 2(6)

TP = 12

The volume of a rectangular prism is represented by the following equation:

V=w*h*l

Where the variables are for volume, width, height, and length, respectively.

We are given that the area of one end is 16 cm² (units have to be correct when solving these problems, so it's 16 cm², not 16 cm as described in the problem). We know that A=w*h

Using this knowledge, we can change the volume equation to our needs.

V=w*h*l

V=(w*h)*l

V=A*l

Note: We know that A is 16 since it's given

V=16*l

The volume is 208 cm³ (once again, incorrect units given). Insert this into the equation.

208=16*l

Divide both sides of the equation by 16.

13=l

The length is 13 cm.

Let me know if you need any clarifications, thanks!
