Answer:

ok so here we know that Baily kicked the target 6 times out of 20 that is 6/20 and then you just reduce the fraction dividing it by 2 so it will be 3/10

Triangle A E C is shown. Line segment B D is drawn near point C to form triangle B D C.
AVprozaik [17]

∠BDC and ∠AED are right angles, is a piece of additional information is appropriate to prove △ CEA ~ △ CDB

Triangle AEC is shown. Line segment B, D is drawn near point C to form triangle BDC.

What are Similar triangles?

Similar triangles, are those triangles which have similar properties,i.e. angles and proportionality of sides.

Image is attached below,
as shown in figure
∡ACE = ∡BCD ( common angle )
∡AED = ∡BDC ( since AE and BD are perpendicular to same line EC and make right angles as E and C)
∡EAC =- ∡DBC ( corresponding angles because AE and BD are parallel lines)

Thus, △CEA ~ △CDB , because of the two perpendiculars AE and BD.

How can I use models to help me divide??
Ivan
You can use models to help you divide by making the number of models as your divisor. For example let's say I am dividing 8 ÷ 2. So you would make 8 circles (doesn't have to be circle it can be whatever like squares) and then make groups of 2 until you run out of circles. Then how many groups there are is your answer. 8÷2=4. Hope I helped!

For the functions f(x) = 5x − 3 and g(x) = x + 4, which composition produces the greatest output?
Zina [86]
You could actually find the compositions and thus have something to compare. You haven't shared the list of possible answer choices.

(f+g)(x) = 5x - 3 + x + 4 = 6x + 1

(f-g)(x) = 5x - 3 - x - 4 = 4x - 7

(f*g)(x) = (5x-3)((x+4) = 5x^2 + 20x - 3x - 12 = 5x^2 + 17x - 12

There are also the quotient (f/g)(x) and the compositions f(g(x)) and g(f(x)).

WRite them out.

Then you could arbitrarily select x values, such as 2, 10, etc., subst. them into each composition and determine which output is greatest.
