The number of boxes renita and Vanessa has unpacked each is 6 and 9 boxes respectively.

<h3>Equation</h3>

  • Number of boxes renita has unpacked = x
  • Number of boxes Vanessa has unpacked = 2x - 3
  • Total boxes both unpacked = 15

x + (2x - 3) = 15

x + 2x - 3 = 15

3x = 15 + 3

3x = 18

x = 18/3

x = 6

Therefore,

Number of boxes renita has unpacked = x

= 6 boxes

Number of boxes Vanessa has unpacked = 2x - 3

= 2(6) - 3

= 12 - 3

= 9 boxes

CIRCLE question is in the picture
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

27π cm² or 84.8 cm²

Explanation:

\sf Formula \ for  \ area \ of \ sector = \dfrac{\theta}{360 }  \ x \ \pi (radius)^2

Shaded region angle: 360° - 90° = 270°

 Given radius: 6 cm

Applying formula:

\rightarrow \sf \dfrac{270}{360}  \ x \ \pi (6)^2

\rightarrow \sf 27\pi

\rightarrow \sf 84.823 \ cm^2

\rightarrow \sf 84.8 \ cm^2 \quad (rounded \ to \ nearest \ tenth)

The weights of Sarus crane chicks and hooded crane chicks H (both in grams) during the 10 days following hatching can be modeled
Katarina [22]

Answer:

  • 35.875 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

<u>Functions:</u>

  • S(t) = –0.122t³ + 3.49t² – 14.6t + 136
  • H(t) = –0.115t³ + 3.71t² – 20.6t + 124

<u>Finding the difference between S(5) and H(5)</u>

  • S(5) - H(5) =
  • –0.122t³ + 3.49t² – 14.6t + 136  - (–0.115t³ + 3.71t² – 20.6t + 124) =
  • (-0.122 + 0.115)*5³ + (3.49 -3.7)*5² - (14.6 -20.6)*5 + 136 - 124 = 35.875

Answer is 35.875 grams
