Empiricism, or the belief that our physical senses are the primary source of knowledge, is one of the most basic assumptions of science.

The empirical method is considered by scientists to be the only reliable method for obtaining knowledge.

  • Empiricism is the theory that specifies that knowledge emerges from a primary source that our physical senses can ascertain.
  • Sensory experiences and physical sensations are the most dependable primary sources of knowledge according to empiricists.
  • An empirical method underlines empirical evidence over traditional, inherent ideas that do not have an observable origin.
  • The empirical method is considered by scientists to be the only reliable method for obtaining knowledge.
  • This is believed as empiricists think knowledge emerges from sources that can be sensed and not something transcendental.

Therefore, empiricism, or the belief that our physical senses are the primary source of knowledge, is one of the most basic assumptions of science. The empirical method is considered by scientists to be the only reliable method for obtaining knowledge.

Why did conflict break out at Lexington and Concord?
frutty [35]

“Paul Revere and other riders sounded the alarm, and colonial militiamen began mobilizing to intercept the Redcoat column. A confrontation on the Lexington town green started off the fighting, and soon the British were hastily retreating under intense fire.”

Found this online.

Sounds like they basically alerted the militiamen that the Redcoats were coming, and they geared up to intercept them, which started the fight once they arrived.

What was levittown? what are the pros and cons of this type of construction?
Firlakuza [10]

In the United States of America, Levittown is one of the seven large suburban housing developments created by the William Levitt and his company Levitt & Sons.  Levittown was the first truly mass-produced suburb and is extensively regarded as the archetype for postwar suburbs in the country.

This type of construction caused an increase in residential construction and spending on consumer goods. An interstate highway system was created due to the use of automobiles. This made long-distance and commuting possible. Household technologies were not so liberating (war), no family help, women (PTA/child delinquency), no places to work and stay close to home, women were supposed to be wives and mothers, men went against conformity and were encouraged to take a more active role in their families
