A quadrilateral in which opposite sides are parallel is called a parallelogram. The correct option is A.

<h3>What is a parallelogram?</h3>

A quadrilateral in which opposite sides are parallel is called a parallelogram. Thus, a parallelogram is always a quadrilateral but a quadrilateral can or cannot be a parallelogram.

For a parallelogram, the pair of opposite sides are equal and parallel. Therefore,

1.)  For the first pair.

(x+8) = 15

x = 7

2.) For the second pair

(x+2)=(2x-5)

x + 2 = 2x - 5

2 + 5 = 2x - x

x = 7

(x+2) = (7+2) = 9

Since the measure of the pair of opposite sides is 15 units, the pair of the other two sides measure 9 units.

Hence, the correct option is A.

The complete question is mentioned in the below image.

Answer:

a) N

b) L

c) area I

d) area II

e) area VI

Step-by-step explanation:

a) the points that are 2cm from R are Q, N, M, S. Then, points that are 4cm from P are K, N, R. So, the only one point that works for both is N.

b) the points that are >2cm from R are P, K, L, T. We do not count those are exactly 2cm from R. Then, points that are 4cm from T are R, M, L. Ans is L.

c) <4cm from P, are area I and II. Then area that are >2cm from R are I, VI, and V. So, the only area that works for both is I.

d) <2cm from R, are areas II, III, and IV. Then, <4cm from P, are areas I and II. So, the only one works for both is area II.

e) >4cm from T, are areas I, II, III, VI. Then, >4cm from P, are III, IV, V, VI. Finally, >2cm from R, are areas I, VI, V. The only one that works for all three conditions is area VI.

The population of a country on January 1, 2000, is 20.7 million and on January 1, 2010, it has risen to 22.6 million. Write a fu
Triss [41]

Answer:

P(t) = 20.7e^0.0087816t

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Initial population ; Jan 1, 2000 = 20.7 million

Current population ; Jan, 2010 = 22.6 million

A function of the form P(t)

Where t = time

Usingbthe exponential growth function :

P(t) = Poe^rt ;

P(t) = population at a time after the initial population figure

Po = initial population

r = growth rate

t = time in years

P(t) = population in 2010 = 22.6 million

Po = population in 2000 = 20.7 million

t = 10 years

22.6 = 20.7e^r * 10

22.6 = 20.7e^10r

22.6 / 20.7 = e^10r

1.0917874 = e^10r

Take the In of both sides

In(1.0917874) = 1n(e^10r)

0.0878162 = 10r

r = 0.0878162 / 10

r = 0.0087816

Hence,

P(t) = 20.7e^0.0087816t
