Estimated total cost at an operating level of 9,000 hours will be $38,200.

<h3><u>SOLUTION: -</u></h3>

As per high low method

Variable cost = Change in cost / Change in hours = (High cost - Low cost) / (High hours - Low hours).

  • Particular      Cost                     Hours
  • High              $42,000             10,000
  • Low               $23,000              5,000
  • Change         $19,000              5,000

Variable cost = $19,000 / 5,000

= $3.80 per hour

Fixed cost = Total cost - variable cost

= $23,000 - ( $3.80 × 5,000 )

= $23,000 - $19,000

= $4,000

Estimated total cost at an operating level of 9,000 hours

Fixed cost + Variable cost

= $4,000 + ( $3.80 × 9,000  hours)

= $4,000 + $34,200

= $38,200

Therefore, Estimated total cost at an operating level of 9,000 hours is = $38,200.

Varvara68 [4.7K]

Answer:

Overall cost leadership.

Explanation:

Cost leadership can be defined as to lowest cost that is available in an industry. A cost leader in an industry has achieved a competitive advantage by being able to give the lowest price compared to other businesses in the market

Even where there is high competition businesses with low cost advantage perform well and have good profit margins.

So to avoid overall cost leadership firms convince rivals not to enter a price war, protection from customer pressure to lower prices, and the ability to better withstand cost increases from suppliers.

Automobiles are often leased, and there are several terms unique to auto leases. Suppose you are considering leasing a car. The
kotegsom [21]

Answer:

a. 6.36%

b. $378.02

Explanation:

a. The computation of Annual percentage rate is shown below:-

Annual percentage rate = Lease factor × 2,400

= 0.00265 × 2,400

= 6.36%

b. For computation of monthly lease payment first we need to find out the depreciation charge, finance charge and tax which is shown below:-

Depreciation charge = (Base cost + Other cost - Down payment - Residual value) ÷ Number of lease payment

= ($27,600 + $1,050 - $3,000 - $17,000) ÷ 36

= $8,650 ÷ 36

= $240.27

Finance charge = (Base cost + Other cost - Down payment - Residual value) × Lease factor

= ($27,600 + $1,050 - $3,000 - $17,000) × 0.00265

= $42,650 × 0.00265

= $113.0225

now,

Tax = (Depreciation charge + Finance charge) × Tax rate

= ($240.27 + $113.0225) × 7%

= $353.2925 × 7%

= $24.73

Monthly Lease payment = Depreciation charge + Finance charge + Tax

= $240.27 + $113.0225 + $24.73

= $378.02

Coffee Corporation has 2,000 shares of common stock outstanding. John owns 700 of the shares, John’s grandfather owns 100 shares
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The 318 attribution rule states that stock owned directly or indirectly by a partnership is considered to be owned by any partner that owns 5% or more in the business.

This is relevant to family owned businesses and is a way to mark out principal owners of a business in order to avoid tax evasion and fraud.

In this scenario John directly owns 700 of the outstanding shares. But according to the 318 attribution rule, since he he is a 50% partner he owns half of the outstanding 2,000 shares. That is 1,000 shares.
