The slope of a line is defined as rise by run i.e.
how much y value changes with respect to the
change in × value. So the slope gives the
steepness of the line.
Slope O indicates there is no change in y when
the x value is changed and so the line with
slope 0 is a horizontal line. A line with slope 1
shows with 1 unit change in ×, y changes by 1
unit. Likewise slope equal 2 indicates with 1 unit
change in ×, y changes by 2 units.
We can see as the absolute value of slope is
increasing, the change in y with respect to x is
increasing i.e. the line is becoming more tilted or
steep.
Hence, we can conclude that:
The graph of a line gets Steeper as the absolute
value of the slope gets bigger.
C is the correct answer.

Michael likes to go hiking. He can climb 400 ft. every 2 hours. Which equation models the relationship between the time Michael
crimeas [40]

Answer:

Below!

Step-by-step explanation:

The word "equation" defines that an expression must have an equal sign. This means that the equation is y = x. The variable 'y' represents the distance Michael has climbed. The variable 'x' represents the time mike hiked.

 • => y = x
 • => 400 ft = 2 hours
 • => 200 ft = 2/2 hours
 • => 200 ft = 1 hour

Hence, 200 ft = 1 hour models the relationship between the time Michael hikes, x, and the distance he climbs, y.

Hoped this helped.

3xy−5y for x=−1.5 and y=−3
Georgia [21]
Plug in 1.5 for x, to start off. It is then simplified to : 3*(1.5)* y - 5y
Then plug in -3 for y, it's then simplified to : 3*(1.5)* -3 - 5 * (-3)
First, multiply 1.5 times 3, and that will get you 4.5. The multiply 4.5 with -3, and that will get you -13.5. Moving on, subtract -13.5 from the 5 that is being multiplied to -3, which is -15. In conclusion, -13.5 subtracted from -15 would be -28.5. Hope this helps!
